Who is behind it, where it is made and what actually goes into a drop.
I started Kade because the best-made clothes in Rotterdam were the ones the dockers were issued, and nobody was selling them to anyone else.
The first hoodie was screen-printed on a kitchen table in Katendrecht in 2018, on a blank so heavy the printer told me it would never sell. It sold out in a weekend. Everything since has followed the same rule: pick the heaviest cloth the mill will run, cut it like workwear, put one strip of reflective tape on it, and make three hundred. Then stop.
The pieces are sewn in Guimaraes by a factory that also makes uniforms for the port, and finished, numbered and boxed here on the warehouse floor. Four drops a year. No restocks, no sales, no marketplaces. If you want one, you queue at a stockist or you set an alarm.

What the buyers said
Two store buyers and an editor. Kept like receipts, because that is what they are.
We took forty pieces of Drop 09 and sold thirty-eight of them on the Saturday. The two left were a size we should have ordered more of. That has never happened with a label this young.
The hoodie is heavier than anything else on our rail and customers notice it before they see the price. Three washes in, the tape is still bright and the cuffs have not moved.
The only streetwear label I have covered that publishes its run size and then actually stops. The archive page is worth more than most lookbooks I get sent.
